How does the ACF Bonding Machine work?
Before we directly go to the machine. We have to check the problem in the panel. So for that we use panel testers. It can check all types of screen. The panel testers show where the actual fault is on the screen. After figuring out the problem the panel is put on the AFC bonding machine to bond the faulty area.
AFC Bonding machine consists of a COF clipper used to hold a COF and there to microscope X and Y which are placed on the left and right-hand side of the machine to control the display of both sides. Now, the panel will be fixed properly in the machine where the bonding is to be done. After that using Acetone remover, the area will be cleaned.
The main components of the ACF bonding machine are Hot Bar (Thermode), PCB, flex circuit(LCD), Anisotropic Conductive Film(AFC). The Anisotropic Conductive Film is pre-tacked, the protective layer will be removed from it, the PCB or flex circuit is placed on the Anisotropic Conductive Film, then the Hot bar comes down to bond the AFC and PCB.
